Rise up, young hero, and answer the call of your god!
Anointed: Mantle of the Gods puts you, the player, in the role of hero, able to make a difference with your people and the human race. You are a direct representative of your god, with some of his powers as well. Slay your rivals, destroy all those who would enslave your race, gather more followers to your god, and become a hero of the world. Based in the same world as New Gods of Mankind, you can interact with your tribe and god in an adventure RPG filled with hungry demons, vicious leviathans, cruel salamanders, and strange beasts waiting to devour you.
Stats and mechanics are similar, yet more detailed, than New Gods of Mankind, focusing on tabletop miniature movement and detailed combat sequences. Simple stats—Body, Mind, and Spirit—are used like in New Gods of Mankind, but expanded with additional stats, skills, and weapons. A simple small dice pool system from d4 through d12 is rolled against a target number. Multiple successes can be rolled, benefiting the outcome or increasing damage. A power system similar to the Miracle casting system is in place so heroes can customize their abilities granted to them by the gods.
